Deep Tissue Massage & Myofascial Therapy
This type of massage combines: deep connective tissue and Myofascial Therapy massage to create flexibility and freedom of movement in the tissue and major joints.

  • Transverse Friction treatment
    The therapist's fingertip is placed on the exact site of the lesion and rubbed hard across (perpendicular to) the direction of the fibers at the affected tissue area. In muscular lesions, transverse friction reduce down the adhesions formed by the scar tissue between individual muscle fibers. The session lasts for about 20 minutes and some discomfort may be caused for a few minutes before analgesia is induced.

    This is a valuable treatment, I use it in conjunction with active (or passive and active) movements.

    Manual Lymphatic Drainage
    Effective in the treatment of facial cosmetic conditions and the treatment of the extremities (arms and legs). The benefits of the Lymph Drainage works to help recirculate body fluids, stimulate functioning of the immune system, and promote a state of relaxation and balance within the autonomic nervous system. Manual Lymphatic Drainage method assures improvement in congested areas affected, it can usually be brought under control by good care.
    Patients will be able to control Lymphedema with good post treatment, five consecutive sessions the first week, followed by three sessions per week and home maintenance.
